Capable AI ("we", "us", "our") takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how long we keep it, and your rights.
We comply with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
Through the website
When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, and any details you choose to share.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This collects anonymised data such as pages visited, time on site, approximate location, and device type. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Through Assessment engagements
When we run an AI Opportunity Assessment, we collect survey responses from employees, interview notes, and any documents the client shares with us. This is collected only with explicit client agreement, and participants are told how their data will be used before they take part.
Website enquiry data is used to respond to you and improve our services.
Assessment engagement data is used only to produce findings for that client. It is not shared with third parties or aggregated with data from other clients.
Contact enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to respond. If a working relationship begins, we keep your details for the engagement plus 24 months.
Assessment data is kept for 12 months after the engagement ends, then deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
Anonymised analytics data is kept for 14 months by Google Analytics, then automatically deleted.
We do not sell your information.
We do not share your data with third parties except where required to deliver our services — for example email providers (Google) and analytics (Google Analytics). We may use AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT in our own work, but we do not put identifiable client data into consumer-tier AI plans.
If we ever need to share your data with a specific third party, we will tell you first.
Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to ask what information we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, and make a complaint about how we have handled it.

Data is stored on secure cloud services, accessed through password-protected accounts, and shared only with people who need it to do the work. We use AI tools with business-grade data agreements and do not use consumer-tier AI plans for identifiable client information.
We may update this policy from time to time. The most recent version will always be on this page with the date it was last updated.
